So, every time I plan to travel somewhere, the first thing I check is the Airbnb. I suppose that most of us do the same. The Airbnb was founded ten years ago, in August 2008 in San Francisco, California and it’s made its founders billionaires, and some of the hosts very rich.
So, if you have a plan to enlarge your budget by renting your place on Airbnb, there are a few things that you might consider before publishing your place online.
1. Have a nice, large and cozy bed
It’s not important if your guests will travel for a vacation or for business, everyone will expect to have a nice bed and cozy mattress and to have a good sleep while they’re away from their homes.

It’s a good thing that you don’t have to spend a fortune on a good bed. All you need to do is to go to online stores, check good deals and read users’ reviews. For example, I found this bed for a really good price on sale, and the reviews are awesome.
2. Have enough storage space
If you decide to rent an apartment, you will have all types of guests – single people, friends on a vacation or big families that came on vacation. All of them will expect a nice and spacious closet where they can put away their luggage.

An armoire with a full-length mirror is a great advantage to have, since most of your ladies guests will find them very useful.
3. Have enough towels
It’s important to include a towel set and enough sheets for any of your guests. You can just put them on top of their bed nicely before their arrival, and they’ll definitely appreciate it. If you’re close to the beach, or if you place has a pool, it’s important to include beach towels as well.

4. Keep your place clean
A clean apartment is one of the most important things for guests. The apartment doesn’t need to be ultra modern, have all the fancy appliances to keep the guests happy, but no one likes dirty places. So, if you’re a busy person that doesn’t have time to keep a place clean, it might be a good solution to hire someone to help.
This year I went to two vacations. One of them had a cleaning service included, one didn’t. And, trust me, it’s a great surprise for guests when they come to your apartment from a beach and find the place all cleaned up, instead of having to clean it for themselves. No matter are people using your place for a business trip, or for pleasure, no one likes to clean apartment they’re renting.
5.Have a nice kitchen
If you’re renting an entire home/apartment, it’s important to invest in your kitchen’s appearance. Some of the guests will use it more, some of them will use it less, but all of them will notice their appearance and the fact that they can have all appliances included as they have in their homes.
The main difference between hotels and Airbnb is that feeling people have like they’re in the actual home. They can go to a store, buy some food and beverages and put away in the fridge. Also, if they want to cook, they can. So that’s the reason why most of the people, including me would prefer Airbnb and not hotels.
6. Decorate the walls
Decorated walls will surely look much better than white empty walls. You can get the decoration at an affordable price. For example, you can get this charming 4 Piece Set on Canvas for less than $150.00.

7. Have enough light
If you have a lot of daylight in your accommodation, it’s a great advantage. If not, make sure that you invest in your lighting, so your guests could have maximum comfort while they’re in your place.
